Jordan Grand Prix CollectionIt’s not every day you’re faced with the opportunity to purchase ex-Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill F1 machines straight from Jordan.

Two of the most significant Jordan cars ever raced are up for sale, complete with the helmets, trophies and race suits that went with them – plus more. When you consider that Jordan remain the most successful independent team in the history of the sport, and that these assets are being offered directly by Eddie Jordan himself to the public for the first time, it’s easy to comprehend just how special this opportunity really is.

The first of the two cars being offered as part of the collection is the original Jordan Grand Prix car, 191 chassis #01 – the first they ever built. Aside from being impossibly beautiful, the 191 is most significant for being driven by Michael Schumacher upon his F1 debut at Spa in 1991. The car is being offered with Schumacher’s original helmet, which he signed and gave to Eddie Jordan personally as a mark of gratitude for granting him his first GP racing opportunity.

The second of course, is the very first Grand Prix-winning Jordan, chassis 198 #03. Driven to victory by Damon Hill ahead of team-mate Ralf Schumacher in the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix, it comes complete with the Constructor’s World Championship trophy won on that historic day, as well as Damon’s race suit and helmet.

This very private and personal collection has never previously been offered for sale and also contains a further fourteen significant Driver’s and Constructor’s World Championship trophies, eight Jordan team drivers’ helmets and a selection of other memorabilia. All proceeds are set to go to charity; CLIC Sargent for child cancer, and The Amber Foundation for homeless youth.

Each individual item in the collection is complete with a certificate of authenticity and provenance, signed personally by Eddie Jordan. Everything will formally be presented to the new owner by Eddie himself at Silverstone where it all began for Jordan Grand Prix, and represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to own and become a unique part of F1 history.
