Mercedes W196 FOSNine clips you simply can’t miss!

We hope you all enjoyed our live stream coverage of the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed! For those who missed out, don’t worry for a moment, as we’ve compiled all of the most interesting parts of the event into this list of nine awesome videos.

From Formula 1 to Nascar, Le Mans to Pikes Peak, the 2014 Goodwood ‘FOS’ really did deliver. It’s easy to understand why so many enthusiasts consider it to be the greatest motorsport festival on the planet – watching the real-deal cars of glory days of the past being blasted at full noise through the narrow halls of Goodwood will never get old. As usual, there was plenty of sideways action; sometimes intentional – sometimes not! Enjoy.

The Hill Climb Shootout

The ultimate ‘run what you brung’. Formula 1 vs NASCAR vs Sportscar… and more!

What’s four decades between friends?

John Surtees’ 1964 Ferrari 158, and Kimi Raikonnen’s 2007 Ferrari F2007. Both champion cars built by Ferrari, and driven by the men who took them to number one.

18 year reunion

1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill back behind the wheel of the awesome Williams FW18. What a sight.

Two of a kind

Helping Mercedes Benz celebrate their 120th birthday, Lord March and Sir Stirling Moss steer two of the best looking cars of the 2014 Festival of Speed – the open and closed-wheel incarnations of the awesome W196.

Something old, something new

This is what people come to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to see! A legendary Formula 1 machine, being driven by a current F1 driver.  Felipe Massa has a turn of the Williams FW18.

The King

What a terrific looking machine the Belvedere GTX was. In this clip, NASCAR living legend Richard Petty steers his original 1967 Plymouth Belvedere. The car was shipped the whole way from North Carolina for the event, and Petty mentions that it’s the first time the car has been used in about 40 years!

And now for something completely different…

Kiwi drifter Mad Mike changes the weather forecast dramatically, blasting tyre smoke throughout the Festival of Speed whilst driving his recently rebuilt four-rotor Mazda RX-7.

Top tier

There are countless exciting forms of racing cars on display at the FOS each year, however nothing ever compares to the sights and sounds of Formula 1.

Central Displays

It might seem to defy both gravity and common sense to mount, hang and hold irreplaceable racecars upside down and on their side in the name of art. The result however, is very impressive. Take a look at some of the Goodwood Festival of Speed Central Displays.
