In 1955 Stirling Moss won the Mille Miglia in a Mercedes 300 SLR, doing so over 1600km with an average speed of 157km/h. An interesting fact is that Juan Manuel Fangio drove the other Mercedes 300 SLR in the ’55 Mille Migalia.
