Hop on board and hang on tight for the fastest ever recorded lap of the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Oh, and turn it up – this is what a race car should sound like.
This lap comes from the Bruce McLaren Trophy race held during the 73rd Goodwood Members’ Meeting, and it’s one Bruce would be proud of. The lines are bang on, the driving is smooth and on the limit, and the Chevrolet V8 is thunderous.
Nick Padmore pilots a Lola-Chevrolet T70 Spyder around the Goodwood Motor Circuit to a new lap record of 1:18.2. His lap knocked .7 of a second off the previous time of 1:18.9 set by Andrew Smith in 2010, also in a Lola-Chevrolet T70 Spyder.
Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart jointly hold the original record of 1:20.4, set in 1965 before the circuit closed in 1966.
Buckle up, crank up the volume and hold on tight for the fastest ever recorded lap of the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
