The Oldtimer Grand Prix is a highlight of the historic motorsport season in Germany and is coming up soon, set for the 10th to the 12th of August at the Nürburgring. We’re looking forward to returning to the Nürburgring to see the magic entry of historic machinery in action at this storied event.
The 46th edition will feature a wide range of cars from different eras, starting with racing classics from the early days of motorsport in the ’20s and ’30s to cars from the World Sports Championship, DTM-cars from the ’80s and ’90s as well as F1-cars from the ’70s and ’80s.
The Deutsche Rennsport-Meisterschaft (DRM) is always a crowd puller, and will include the legendary Group 5 cars such as the Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo, Porsche 935, BMW M1 and many more.
Two-seat racing cars and GTs up until 1960/61 are another highlight, and this year will feature machines like the Aston Martin DB4, Austin Healey, Lotus Elite, Lola MK1 or Porsche 356A. The race will start during the early evening and continue on into the dusk.
Also present in the FIA Lurani Trophy are Formula 3 cars from 1964 to 1984, the AvD Touring Car and GT Trophy and the Gentlemen Drivers GT.
The Oldtimer Grand Prix attracts a magic field of historic racing machinery, and it’s always great to photograph at the Nürburgring. For tickets or further information about the event click here, and stay tuned for our mega gallery and report in the days following the event!
