Historic motor racing fans are eagerly looking out for the 2018 edition of the annual Spa Six Hours, which will be held at the iconic circuit this coming weekend from the 14th to 16th of September. Organised by Vincent Collard and Alain Defalle from Roadbook, the 26th edition will more than ever be devoted to racing, featuring an awesome programme of historic motor racing events.
The action-packed three day programme is entirely based on racing. Vincent Collard commented that “We are proud organisers of an event that has been widely talked about for more than a quarter of a century. This year, our intention was to place this pure historic racing aspect even more in the limelight. Organising competitions in the field of cars of yesteryear is our speciality.”
Without a doubt, the star of the event is the Spa Six Hours Endurance traditionally held on Saturday between 4PM and 8PM. This year the endurance epic will feature an incredible grid of 120 cars! Imagine the sights and sounds of 17 Ford GT40s along with Jaguar E Types, Shelby Cobras, Ford Mustangs, Lotus Elans and Porsche 911s sharing the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
From the United Kingdom the Masters Historic Racing organisation is present with four stunning grids including the FIA Masters Historic F1 Championship, FIA Masters Historic Sports Car Championship, Masters Gentlemen Drivers, Masters Pre-66 Touringcars and, for the second time at Spa, the Masters Endurance Legends.
Complete the packed racing programme with the Motor Racing Legends Woodcote Trophy & Stirling Moss Trophy, the Motor Racing Legend Pre-War cars, the U2TC, Formula Junior competition, Jaguar Classic Challenge and the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association. Together these fields will present three days of historic racing action and keep the circuit busy.
Access to the Spa Six Hours will set spectators back 35 euros for the entire weekend in pre-sale and 45 euros on site, 20 euros for the Friday and the Sunday (25 euros on site) and 30 euros (35 euros on site) for the Saturday only, which boasts the Spa Six Hours Endurance. More information and the possibility to order your ticket in pre-sale can be found here.
