Hop on board Niki Lauda’s 1974 Ferrari 312 B3 piloted by Marco Werner for a few hot laps of Monaco in this video from upcoming film project ‘The Lauda Legacy’.
Ferrari’s 312B debuted in 1970 and competed successfully in various revisions in the hands of drivers like Jacky Ickx, Clay Regazzoni, Mario Andretti and Niki Lauda all the way through to 1975. The car in the video played a role in Lauda’s break-out 1974 season with Ferrari.
Its pilot is a tidy steerer as well. Marco Werner won the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1995, driving a Kremer K8 Spyder to a commanding win of the iconic race with Christophe Bouchut, Jürgen Lässig and Giovanni Lavaggi. He was also part of Audi’s 2000s domination of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving to third in 2002 and 2004 and going on to win the race three times in a row from 2005 to 2007.
The video sees Werner qualifying the V12 beauty at Circuit de Monaco. It’s part of an upcoming film by STEREOSCREEN called The Lauda Legacy, which will tell some of the Formula 1 icon’s story.
Bonus video: racing in the rain.
