This gorgeous Maserati MC12 (Tipo M144S) rocked the FIA GT Championship during the early years of the 21st century. It’s up for sale at Jan B Luehn.
Back in 2004 Maserati started production of the model with 25 customer road cars, followed by 25 more in 2005 to homologate the race version MC12 GT1. Just 12 were produced as racing cars for the GT1-category. The MC12 was built and designed on the chassis of the Enzo Ferrari, although the final Maserati MC12 was significantly larger and had a lower drag coefficient.
Jan B Luehn from Germany is a renowned independent broker and with the help of his international team of independent multi-lingual car specialists, he offers chassis 003 of the Maserati MC12 GT1. Italy-based AF Corse team reintroduced Maserati after an absence of 37 years to the world’s stage at Imola in September 2004 with both chassis 003 and 006.
The Italian Risi Competizione team entered the MC12 GT1 in the American Le Mans Series. Besides the ALMS, this car saw action in the 2004 FIA GT1 Championship and was driven by renowned drivers Johnny Herbert, Mika Salo, Fabrizio de Simone and Andrea Bertolini.
