After an absence of no less than three years, the renowned Nürburgring Classic will once again return to the historic motorsport calendar on the weekend of May 20-22.
The restrictions due to COVID-19 have contributed to the fact that organizing such a large event was not possible in recent years. Over the 20th to the 22nd of May, the thread will be resumed as usual with over 20 competitions and 800 participants.
In addition to the races, there will again be regularity runs/GLPs and experience runs on the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit like in previous years.
For the 2022 edition there’s a rich variety in different historic racing cars ranging from touring cars, GTs, sports cars and CanAm monsters to Formula 1 cars.
In addition to many thoroughbred racing series such as the Youngtimer Trophy and the ‘Battle of the Dwarfs’ or the ‘German Touring Cars from the Golden Era’, the classic owners will again have a large number of regularity runs/GLPs and experience runs with a large variety of vehicles in the Eifel.
A variety of Formula 1 cars will be unleashed upon the Grand Prix track on both Saturday and Sunday. Amongst the awaited cars is the former Michael Schumacher Benetton B192 from 1992 as well as the former Jean Alesi/Alain Prost Ferrari 642 from 1991.
We look forward to seeing the Nürburgring Classic back in action in just a few weeks over the 20th to the 22nd of May. Tickets for this not to be missed event can be found here.
