2014 will see the car in which Ayrton Senna won the 1988 World Championship driven by his nephew, track, in Sydney.
As part of a tribute to the much loved Ayrton Senna at the 2014 Top Gear Festival in Sydney, organizers have announced that the famous McLaren MP4/4 in which Senna drove to an overall World Championship victory in 1988 will be in attendance – and not just as a show piece. The car will be driven by none other than Bruno Senna, Ayrton’s nephew.
The MP4/4 is a legendary machine not only for Ayrton having raced it, but for it’s incredible 15 out of 16 race wins record. It’s a beast, however Bruno has raced Formula 1 in the past, so it goes without saying that he knows what he’s doing.
Traditionally the car lives in storage at McLaren’s museum in London, however is being shipped to Australia in 2014 specifically for the event. Watch the full video here:
