Tag along with Chris Ward in his ex-Patrick Motor Group Rover SD1 for a fast, full noise and ferociously-sideways master class in racing the Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Chris is on the button in the Rover SD1, screaming apex to apex in beautifully-controlled power oversteer. It’s the best kind of sideways too – plentiful, but still neat and fast, with Chris kissing the apexes of some very nice lines as he works his way through the field.
The wide-angle shot set back in the car is great for emphasising the work being put in behind the wheel and giving a good feel for the movement in the car as it fights its way up and down that one step over the edge of traction.
And let’s not forget the racing – it’s close and exciting with just the right margin of respect. Perfect.
